Spirituality and Hope in a Challenging World is the third in a series of publications edited by Sean Healy, Brigid Reynolds and Tom Jordan on the overarching theme of Spirituality for Social Engagement. It was published as a special issue of Doctrine and Life in March, 2008.

These contributions were first presented at a conference organised by CORI Justice Commission in May 2007.  They reflect on the situation Ireland found itself in at a time when its economic growth was the envy of the world and its guiding values were leaving a great deal to be desired.
