Social Justice Ireland presented a briefing on the Fiscal Compact to the Joint Oireacthtas Committee on European Union Affairs on March 15, 2012.
In this we set out the factual situation and took no position on how people should vote in the forthcoming referendum. We believe strongly that all decisions should be made on an informed based.
This Briefing sets out Social Justice Ireland's analysis of this Compact and the context in which it is presented. In particular we address the question: Will the Compact tackle the causes that produced the present economic crisis.
