SETU & SJI invite learners to access standalone modules from the MA in Social Justice and Public Policy
Applications are open for learners who wish to audit independent modules from the MA in Social Justice and Public Policy.
This option is particularly suitable for learners who want to explore university-level learning without the pressure of completing a full programme of study; want to engage in personal and professional development for policy and justice work and want to stay intellectually engaged or follow their curiosity.

Advanced Social Analysis (10 ECTS)
This module explores the possibilities of social analysis for organisational and institutional development. Learners will focus on the opportunities and limits of social analysis; how social change happens; its impact on particular target groups; social inclusion; and the connection between values and social change.
Blended delivery comprising 18 hour-long sessions delivered between September and December 2026.

Strategic Planning & Social Justice (5 ECTS)
This module explores the theories and practices of strategic thinking, and the core steps needed for a successful planning process. Learners will apply strategic planning concepts and tools to help achieve corporate goals and use planning to analyse marketing opportunities. The module approaches these questions with an emphasis on the necessity of strategic planning and focus for social justice and public policy.

Research Methods (5 ECTS)
This module introduces a range of research theories, methods, design and techniques with a specific focus on social policy. Learners will develop skills in a selection of key statistical packages, programmes, and databases alongside the principles and practice of research ethics.
Online delivery comprising 18 hour-long sessions delivered between September and December 2026.

Applicants who apply will undertake a single validated module(s) but will not complete a full programme of study on the MA Social Justice and Public Policy programme. The applicant will be registered as a part-time student.
