What has austerity done for us?
That was the question posed on RTE Radio One's Drivetime programme on Friday, July 26, 2013. Philip Boucher-Hayes reprises the budgets since 2008. He also presents the findings of a recently published IMF Report that shows the long-run negative impacts fiscal adjustment programmes have had over more than two decades on those who are vulnerable.
