‘An End to Poverty in Europe?’ reviews the social situation in the 27 EU member states and makes some proposals and recommendations for a more sustainable and inclusive future. This report focuses on EU social policy developments amidst the landmark announcement in May 2026 of the EU’s first ever Anti-Poverty Strategy which sets a target of eradicating poverty in Europe by 2050.
